About Tinybird

Tinybird is the data platform that helps data engineering teams address complex real-time, operational, and user-facing analytics challenges at any scale. It simplifies the process of importing data from various sources, allowing you to use SQL for data manipulation—such as filtering, aggregating, and joining—and then publish the results as low-latency, high-concurrency RESTful API endpoints or as sinks into downstream systems.


We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to help build and optimize our sales-led go-to-market motion. You will be the founding member of our Product Marketing team and be part of a technical marketing team capable of building our own product collateral and demos.


This role is based in the US East Coast or EU time zones.


What you’ll do in this role

As a Product Marketing Manager, you’ll oversee Tinybird products throughout their lifecycle, developing messaging and positioning, leading cross-functional teams to execute marketing launches, and training our sales and success teams to sell and support these products. 


You will touch on many projects and problems, from conducting competitive analyses and holding customer forums to writing deep dives on how Tinybird fits into an organization’s data stack. Your responsibilities will include:


  1. Develop messaging and positioning for Tinybird and its products and features
  2. Communicate technical benefits through written materials, collateral, and presentations
  3. Build the go-to-market strategy and tactics for the company
  4. Run point on product launches, working across the company and marketing team to lead and execute integrated cross-channel campaigns
  5. Train the sales and sales engineering team on Tinybird products, messaging, and marketing campaigns
  6. Create a process for gathering and synthesizing sales feedback into prioritized product projects
  7. Own competitive and market research projects from start to finish

Requirements for this role

  1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a technical field
  2. 5+ years of experience in product marketing for a developer-focused company or product
  3. 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced startup environment
  4. Exceptional writer and communicator; loves telling stories
  5. Experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with colleagues across product, sales, engineering and marketing
  6. Familiar with the analytics, data pipelines, and/or data engineering space
  7. Excellent at synthesizing information from a variety of different inputs 
  8. Experience in positioning, packaging, and pricing
  9. Experience running sales training
  10. Bonus: experience with SQL

Selected candidates will progress through this process:


  1. Meet with our VP of Marketing + Dev Rel (30 minutes)
  2. Meet with our VP of Product (and co-founder) (30 minutes)
  3. Meet with our VP of Sales (30 minutes)
  4. A final interview with our CEO (30 minutes)
  5. Offer

Compensation

  1. A competitive compensation package up to $180K, depending on location + experience, including Stock Options
  2. Holidays. We will not count the days you take but we at least grant you 22 days of holidays per year. Plus, your birthday off and public holidays… but, who’s counting?
  3. Work remotely. Freedom to work from wherever suits you best. For this role, we’re ideally looking for candidates based in the US East Coast or Europe
  4. Flexible office hours. At Tinybird, we do not have fixed office hours. You manage your own time.
  5. Equipment of your choice. You get to choose. The maximum budget for it is €2,400/ $2,600
